The building is connected to the cycling and water route along the Sió canal. The design area has been a vacant plot for decades and is located between the castle and the river.

The functions are housed in two simple volumes:
1.) Hotel rooms and canteen on the street side
2.) Student hostel and boat storage at the back.

The size of the street wing matches the adjacent buildings. The narrow buildings also allow a view of the castle from the river. Cement board, steel and wood give the house a time-varying appearance as they age.
